Western Electric candlestick telephone, early 20th century, made in U.S.A. This is an antique candlestick telephone with the receiver and mouthpiece both present, shown in black factory-molded metal. The top cap is faintly embossed with Western Electric and Made in U.S.A., supporting an early 20th century American origin.
Details collectors check:
- No rotary dial is present on this example.
- Factory-molded metal construction throughout the stand, base, and handset cradle.
- Cloth-covered cord is included and remains wrapped around the base.
- Receiver and mouthpiece are both present; the separate receiver stand is also shown.
- Finish shows some paint loss, scuffs, and general wear, especially on the base and lower body.
- No model or reference number is visible in the photos.
This style was made for early telephone service and would have sat on a desk or table for use with a separate line setup. Today it works well as a display piece for an antique telephone collection, industrial decor, or a period office vignette.
