Elegant late Victorian or Edwardian silverplate table crumb set, circa 1890–1910, featuring a handled crumb-catching tray and matching long-handled scraper. Both pieces have deeply sculpted, shell-like borders, ornate floral decoration and engraved scrollwork. Each is finished with an old script monogram that appears to read “M C.” The naturally darkened patina, tarnishing and surface wear give the set wonderful antique character. Once used to clear crumbs between dinner courses, it would now make a distinctive dining-room display or serving accessory.
