A gracious survivor of the Victorian table — this antique English transferware covered vegetable dish is a study in understated elegance. Decorated in soft blue-on-white with a flowing Rococo floral pattern of blossoms, scrolls, and botanical sprays, the piece features a beautifully scalloped rim, original domed lid with decorative finial, and paired side handles.
Backstamped on both the lid and base with the “Imperial Porcelain / Warranted” crown-and-shield mark, dating this piece to the Staffordshire potteries of the late Victorian era, circa 1880–1910.
Age-appropriate crazing throughout adds to its authentic antique character. No chips or cracks noted. A wonderful addition to a cottage, farmhouse, or French country tablescape — equally at home displayed on a sideboard or used as a decorative centerpiece.
