Beautiful small hand-carved cat figurine made from what appears to be genuine natural malachite, featuring dramatic bands and swirls of deep emerald, forest green, and lighter green throughout the stone. The seated cat has a wonderfully stylized form with pointed ears, (ears seem to be a little chipped or dull)carved facial details, paws, and a sweeping body and tail. Because malachite is a natural stone, the patterning makes every carving unique.

This little cat has especially attractive concentric banding along the sides and back. It measures approximately 2–2½ inches tall and weighs 0.300 lb (approximately 4.8 oz / 136 g). Pre-owned condition with light surface wear appropriate to age and handling; please review photographs closely for condition. No maker’s mark observed. A lovely piece for a malachite collection, gemstone display, cat collection, curio cabinet, or gift for a mineral enthusiast.
