Large vintage museum reproduction depicting a stylized standing Pre-Columbian figure, produced by Alva Museum Replicas, Inc. of New York as an authorized reproduction for the Smithsonian Institution. Approximately 11½” tall, with a substantial stone-like composition, intentionally weathered surface and traces of muted polychrome decoration. Original Smithsonian/Alva foil label remains on the underside, though partially worn.
A striking mid-century museum-shop decorative object with strong archaeological, primitive-modern and ethnographic display appeal.
Condition: Surface wear, scattered losses to the painted finish and wear to the original underside label, consistent with age. No obvious major structural break visible in the photos.
