Charming vintage musical powder box or vanity box, likely dating to the 1940s–1950s. The round metal box is decorated with rows of creamy faux pearls around the sides and an intricate raised faux-pearl floral/rosette design on the lid. The silver-tone finish with warm gold accents gives it a wonderfully glamorous old-Hollywood vanity-table look.

The original paper tune label remains on the underside and reads “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” No. 1246. The underside also retains its wind-up key. Similar period examples are commonly identified as musical powder boxes, made for holding loose face powder on a lady’s dressing table. Comparable examples playing the same tune are documented from the mid-century period.

Measures approximately 4½ inches across and about 3½ inches tall. Weight is approximately 11 oz. (0.69 lb.).

Vintage condition with age-appropriate wear to the metal finish, including surface scratches, oxidation/tarnish, finish loss and discoloration as shown. Faux pearl decoration appears remarkably intact from the photographs. Interior shows expected wear/use. Original underside label is present. Please review photographs carefully as they are part of the description.

A beautiful collectible for a vintage vanity display, dressing table, boudoir décor collection, music box collection or romantic Valentine display.
