Vintage cream/ivory celluloid dresser jar in the classic “French Ivory” style, popular for vanity and boudoir sets from the early-to-mid 20th century. Cylindrical jar body with fine vertical ribbing (a hallmark of pressed celluloid imitation ivory) and a gently domed, oval-topped lid with a molded ring detail where it meets the jar. Warm butter-yellow tone typical of aged celluloid. Would have originally held powder, cream, or cotton balls as part of a matching vanity set.
Diameter approximately 2.75”, height approximately 3.5” with lid on. Weighs 4.4 oz.
Condition consistent with age — surface shows light general wear. AS IS: a crack is visible along the interior rim of the jar body (see photo); please review all photos carefully before purchase.
