Charming Made in Italy Florentine-style wooden wall plaque featuring a reproduction portrait of a young girl in court dress, surrounded by elaborate raised gilt scrollwork. The rich emerald/forest-green painted ground, antiqued gold border, shaped wooden panel and ornate Rococo-inspired medallion are characteristic of the decorative Florentine pieces exported from Italy during the mid-20th century.

The original “MADE IN ITALY” label remains on the reverse, along with the hanging hardware. From your ruler photos, it measures approximately 7½” wide × 9½” high and weighs about 8½ oz.

The surface has genuine vintage character, including scattered scratches, rubbing and small losses to the green and gilt finishes. I would describe it as good vintage condition with attractive age-related patina, rather than trying to disguise the wear.
