Petite vintage Japanese incense burner (koro) in the Satsuma moriage style, standing under 3” tall. Tripod footed body with a pierced domed lid for smoke release, topped with a sculpted knob finial. Hand-painted panels depict a kimono-clad woman against raised gilt beadwork (moriage) and swirl motifs in orange, blue, and green enamels. Backstamped “Made in Japan.”
A charming small-scale decorative piece — nice shelf or curio cabinet item, good for collectors of Japanese export ceramics or incense accessories.
