Brown Pottery Match Holder With Blue Leaf Decoration And Flared Rim

Charming pottery match holder featuring a warm honey-brown glaze, deep blue leafy decoration, and “Matches” lettering across the front. Its gently tapered body and broad, blue-edged rim give it a traditional country appearance. A hole near the back rim allows for hanging, while the flat base also permits tabletop display—lovely beside a hearth or in a primitive country kitchen.

Unmarked; maker and exact age unknown. Light surface wear, small glaze irregularities, and wear and label remnants on the underside are visible. No obvious major cracks or large chips are apparent in the photographs.

Approximately 5½ inches across the rim; please confirm height before listing. Unpacked weight: 1 lb. 12 oz.
