Small antique cylindrical cup or tumbler featuring a hand-etched design of irises, cattails, and aquatic foliage in the Aesthetic Movement style popular in the 1880s. The metal shows a dark, heavily oxidized patina consistent with age, with a coppery/brass tone visible at the base seam — likely a brass or copper-cored piece with a plated or naturally oxidized finish, rather than pewter or solid silverplate. No visible maker's mark was found on the base. The piece sits on a slightly raised footed base and has a cylindrical body that widens gently toward the rim. The rim shows visible unevenness/denting, and the surface throughout shows scratches, tarnish, and wear consistent with age.
