Striking small hand-blown art glass vase featuring a milky white/opaline body decorated with free-flowing yellow and green glass trails that sweep organically around the rounded form. The vase is finished with a contrasting deep brown/black applied foot, giving it a wonderful modernist studio-glass appearance.
The underside shows evidence consistent with handmade glass production, and the irregular flowing decoration makes each view a little different. I do not see a maker’s signature or label, so I would list this as unattributed studio/art glass rather than assigning a specific maker.
Measures approximately 4½ inches tall and about 4 inches across at the widest point. Please review photos for exact measurements and condition. There appear to be minor surface marks/age-related wear and small inclusions typical of handmade glass, but I do not see an obvious major chip or crack in the photographs.
A very attractive little piece for a mid-century modern, contemporary, studio glass, or eclectic art-glass collection.
