Antique Canoe-Shaped Pyrography Display Piece, Dated 1910
Charming antique wooden piece featuring a canoe-shaped silhouette and detailed pyrography, or wood-burned decoration. Portraits of a woman and man face one another across a scenic lake and mountain landscape, with a wooden bar spanning the front. A lovely accent for a Craftsman home, cottage, or lake house.
Possibly originally a tie or towel rack, although its original function is unconfirmed. There is no hanging hardware on the reverse. It displays beautifully on a separate tabletop stand, as shown in the styled image. Display stand not included.
The reverse bears the initials “F.P.” and a handwritten date that appears to read 1910. Approximately 15 inches wide by 5 inches high, based on the photographed rulers.
Age-related surface scratches, finish wear, and wear around the wooden bar supports are visible. Please examine all photographs for details.
