• Marked MATTEL on the embossed yellow lid; front panel reads “IN THE MUSIC BOX.”

• Plastic clown head and hands are present, with the original-style painted face and orange hair.

• Tin box body shows printed clown scenes on all visible sides, consistent with the Jack in the Music Box line.

• Crank-operated music box mechanism is visible on the side with a red knob.

• Sewn blue polka-dot fabric body rises from the box and is attached under the clown head.

• Condition shows age wear: scuffs, scratches, sticker wear, edge rub, and a blue tape mark on one panel. Plays music but clown does not pop

Made as a children’s novelty toy and display piece, this Mattel jack-in-the-box is now a collectible for vintage toy and clown memorabilia buyers. It can be displayed as-is on a shelf, in a toy collection, or as retro decor.
