A handsome piece of classic English transferware, this oval serving platter by Myott, Son & Co. features the beloved Plymouth pattern — a lush central fruit basket overflowing with peaches, grapes, and full-blown peonies, surrounded by sprawling botanical sprays. The embossed floral border adds wonderful dimensional texture to the creamy white ground.
The blue underglaze transfer is crisp and well-defined, with excellent depth and detail throughout the design. A lovely example of the blue-and-white aesthetic that has graced English country tables for generations.
