Antique advertising tin for the O-Cedar No. 3 Solid Center Slip-On Polish Mop, dated 1929 on the lid (O-Cedar Corp’n, Chicago). Round tin canister in the classic gold/mustard ground with black star pattern and bold “O-Cedar” logo, original $1.50 price stamped on the lid along with “Cleans as it Polishes,” “Makes Floors Beautiful So Quick and Easy,” and the Good Housekeeping Institute seal. Graphics include the period illustration of a woman using the slip-on mop. Approximately 7” diameter, weighs just under half a pound (0.475 lb) empty. Sold empty — no mop head included, tin only.
Condition consistent with age: heavy oxidation and rust coverage across the base and lower sidewall, scattered surface pitting, scuffing and paint loss to the lettering and graphics throughout, and a dented/bent lower rim. Lid graphics remain legible and colorful despite the wear. AS IS.
