Striking vintage Cambridge Glass Company “Draped Lady” figural flower frog in warm golden-amber glass. This elegant Art Deco floral arranger depicts a gracefully posed woman in a flowing gown standing above a substantial round flower-frog base with 12 openings for individual flower stems. The frog was designed to sit inside a water-filled console bowl, allowing flowers to radiate around the figure and create a dramatic centerpiece; the bowl is not included. This is the larger and less commonly encountered Draped Lady form, Cambridge pattern No. 513 with a Type 2 base, dating to approximately the late 1920s or 1930s. Measures approximately 12½ inches tall with a base about 4½ inches in diameter and weighs an impressive 4 pounds 7.3 ounces. Beautiful as a functional floral centerpiece or displayed alone as an example of elegant Depression-era glass. Preowned vintage condition; please examine all photographs for any surface wear, bubbles, molding irregularities, chips, or other condition details. Because of its considerable weight and delicate figural form, it will be carefully wrapped and double-boxed for shipping.
