The fronts are beautifully hand painted with traditional interior scenes depicting two women seated at a table, surrounded by architectural details in rich iron red, blue, green and ochre tones.

The reverse of each piece features hand-painted Chinese calligraphy, giving the pair wonderful visual interest from every angle. Deep iron-red borders complete the traditional design.
