Striking Mid-Century Bohemian-style art glass vase featuring rich cranberry-ruby coloring, a softly ribbed bulbous body, flared rim, and elaborate hand-applied gold enamel decoration. The design includes tall architectural panels, delicate scrolling and foliate accents, wide gilded bands around the neck, and raised oval cabochon-style medallions.
Substantial and beautifully made, the vase measures approximately 14 inches tall with a base about 4 inches across and weighs 3 pounds 3 ounces. It displays wonderfully as a statement vase with or without flowers. No maker’s mark was found; the decoration is reminiscent of Czech/Bohemian Moser-style glass, but it should not be attributed to Moser without documentation. Vintage condition with possible light surface wear or thinning to the gold consistent with age; please review photographs closely for condition.
