A museum-worthy example of California studio folk art pottery at its finest. This hand-thrown terracotta incense burner is signed June Sears © ’80 — dating it precisely to 1980 and placing it squarely in the heart of her celebrated Heaven Hill Designs output.

Every inch of the exterior is alive with obsessive hand-sculpted detail: spotted mushrooms, snails, ladybugs, trailing vines, berries, tiny wildflowers, and mossy forest floor texture wrap the entire vessel in a complete woodland world. The rim is punctuated with applied bobble elements; the piece sits on its original matching terracotta saucer. The incense stick hole is centered in the interior base.

Unglazed natural terracotta throughout, warm sandy-orange in tone. No chips, cracks, or losses noted. Approximately 4–5” diameter.
