Vintage Cortasa Alpaca Flying Swan Brandy / Cognac Warmer – Made in Spain

Wonderful mid-century Spanish figural brandy warmer by Cortasa, crafted in the form of a dramatic flying swan/goose with outstretched wings.

The hollow bird was designed as an alcohol burner, with a wick positioned in the opening between the wings. A brandy or cognac snifter rests on the small supports above the bird so the flame gently warms the glass. The original chained metal snuffer remains attached.

Marked CORTASA / ALPACA / MADE IN SPAIN on the underside. “Alpaca” refers to nickel silver, a silver-colored metal alloy.

Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate surface wear, tarnish/patina and scratches. The burner wick is missing and no brandy glass/snifter is included. The chained snuffer is present. Please examine all photographs closely for condition.

A distinctive piece of vintage barware and a terrific display piece for a home bar, cocktail collection or mid-century décor.
