An antique octagonal warming dish in blue and white transferware, designed with a hollow interior cavity filled through the holes in the two pierced tab handles — hot water was poured in to keep food warm at the table. The central medallion depicts two songbirds perched on a flowering branch with large leaves, surrounded by a detailed geometric key-fret border accented with floral sprigs at each corner. Measures approximately 10.5" across. No visible maker's mark. AS IS - staining and soiling present around the interior rim and within the handle openings, along with scattered small glaze specks/firing marks consistent with age.
